Information about Nigel Mills

Hi, I am Nigel Mills. I developed this website so that people receiving EMDR therapy could have easy and free access to a means of cultivating their inner psychological resources.

The website is also intended to help new therapists become familiar with some of the resource building strategies of EMDR.

I currently work part time in the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist and I also offer some independent EMDR supervision and therapy. You can enquire about my current availability on the form provided on the Supervision & Therapy page.

In terms of my own background, I have benefitted from working for over 40 years with clients from a broad range of settings including the UK National Health Service; The Police; The Prison Service; The British Army; Cardiff University and Independent Practice. I have been an EMDR Consultant Supervisor since 2010 and have been contracted to be an external EMDR Consultant Supervisor for a range of organisations including: Cardiff Traumatic Stress Service; All Wales Veteran Service; Cardiff and Vale University Health Board; Cwm Taff Morgannwg University Health Board; Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and Powys Teaching Health Board.

My ‘style’ of EMDR is influenced by my background in Mindfulness; Compassion-Focussed Therapy and  Somatic Body-Based approaches.

If you have an enquiry about supervision or therapy please use the form on the Supervision and Therapy page.
